Smiling's my favorite

This post is a week or two late, but I still wanted to share. Kamden recently started smiling at us and things. Although he's "smiled" since birth, those smiles are usually internal like when he's falling asleep or passing gas. At 6 weeks old, he started smiling at us when we'd talk to him or do something. It is literally THE best! Makes my day!

2 Months Old

Weight: 10lbs 1 oz

Length: 22 1/4 in

Clothing size: 3 months
Sleep: Averaging 3.5 to 5 hour stretches at night

Slept 6 hours straight last night! Sleeps in crib (naps and nighttime)
Breaking out of the swaddle

Milestones/Developments:
Smiling,
Holding up head and neck for long stretches of time and looking all around,
cooing,

First valentines day,

Starting to hold things,

Wore shoes for the first time,

Slept 6 hours straight
Adventures:

Costco, Target, Home Goods, Bonefish Grill, Paradise Springs Winery, whole foods, walks outside, Grandma and Granddad's, Holly and Greg's, and other errands with mom and dad. Love my new ride in my stroller!

Discoveries: I love looking all around. I'm getting stronger every day. Heidi is one of my favorite things to look at!

Favorite things:
Sleeping on mom and dad,
grabbing mommy's hair,
bouncy chair,
dancing with mom,
baths,
looking around,
making noises like grunting and cooing,
being rocked and snuggling
going for walks outside,
listening to music,
playing in my jungle gym
car rides,
Bumbo seat

Not so favorite things:

pacifier,
being put down,
having a dirty diaper

Shots (got 3 today - ouch!)
Visitors/new friends this month: Margie and Tim, Holly and Greg, Jessica and Lili, Siobhan and Ann, Jennifer

Next doctors appointment: April 29

Other news: my first buddy, Ethan, arrived. I can't wait to hang out with him. Looking forward to my Grammy, Great Grandma(Gigi), and aunt Bernie to visit soon!

Kamden's Newborn Pictures

Kamden had some newborn photos taken when he was around 2 weeks old with the talented Kathryn Eowyn Photography. We will cherish these beautiful pictures forever! Thank you Kate for doing such a great job.

6 Weeks Old

Weight: 8 pounds 10 ounces (as of 2/7/14)
Clothing size: Some newborn and some 3 months - depends how it runs in size. Most of the 3 months are still too big but some of the newborn are getting too small. In between sizes.

Sleep: Still averaging 2 hour stretches with an occasional 3 hours. Napping in crib during the day and has slept in his crib a few nights.

We've got a smiler!
